Getting More Customers
A short owner map of the surfaces that influence whether customers find and choose you — and how to decide which one deserves attention first.

Customers do not follow one neat funnel. They search Google, open Maps, skim reviews, check a website, ask a friend, and sometimes ask AI who to hire. Owners who obsess over one surface while ignoring the others leave easy gaps for competitors.
This page is a map of what actually matters — not a manifesto. Use it to name the surface costing you customers right now.
Still the default discovery layer for many local services. If you do not appear for the searches customers use, everything else starts late. Maps and the Business Profile are often as important as classic blue links.

Some customers ask ChatGPT or other assistants for a recommendation. Those systems are not a paid local directory. Clear, consistent public information helps; nobody can guarantee a mention.

Reviews are how strangers borrow trust. Volume, recency, response quality and comparison with nearby competitors all matter. Strong SEO with weak reviews still loses calls.
The website converts visitors and feeds discovery systems. If people arrive and cannot understand you — or systems cannot parse you — visibility is wasted.

Priority is relative to competitors and to your bottleneck. Invisible on Google? Fix discovery. Found but not trusted? Fix reviews and proof. Trusted but not converting? Fix the site. Fine in Google but losing AI questions? Improve clarity.
Looking at all four together beats arguing which channel is “the future.”
CLIXERA puts Google/search, local, reviews, website and AI readiness in one competitive view so you can see which surface is actually costing customers — then turn that into prioritized work.
